ND: DEA reveals disturbing drug trends in North Dakota and Minnesota

The Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) created a division in 2018 to help enforce controlled substance laws in states like North Dakota and Minnesota.

A representative with the DEA’s Omaha Division sat down with Valley News Live to explain what trends they are seeing and why it is an important time to talk with your kids.

“It seems as though we continue to take the pills and the fentanyl powder off the street and the methamphetamine off the street but it still seems to keep coming back,” explains Emily Murray, DEA Public Information Officer.

Murray says that’s due to outside forces, and not necessarily because the drugs are being made here.
