Ravenswood City Council heard a proposal from Hope House Ministries and Walgreens regarding the use of opioid litigation funds.
Krista Melton, the pharmacist for Walgreens, and Jessica Haynes, the executive director of Hope House Ministries spoke to the council with their proposal regarding the American Security Cabinet Company.
“What this is for is a kiosk for disposal of sharps,” Melton said. “Hope House helps Walgreens with Project Life, our harm reduction section. We have over 40 Walgreens stores in West Virginia that have Narcan and six stores that have fentanyl testing strips. With that, we would like to move forward with Project Life and offer a sharps container.”
