MN: $4.45M secured from settlement for opioid epidemic fight in Minnesota

ST. PAUL, Minn. (KEYC) – Minnesota will get nearly $4.5 million from a settlement related to the opioid epidemic.

Attorney General Keith Ellison’s Office announced the $350 million, multi-state settlement with a global pharmaceutical marketing firm called Publicis.

Ellison says the firm recognized the harm created by the advertising of opioids.

Publicis will also unseal documents related to its work with pharmaceutical manufacturers like Purdue Pharma according to the settlement.
