Bill to allow possible importation of Canadian prescription drugs to Tennessee fails

Sen. London Lamar, D-Memphis, and Rep. Larry Miller, D-Memphis, introduced the bill on Jan. 22 and 23, respectively.

 A bill that would allow the possible importation of Canadian prescription drugs in Tennessee has failed.

The bill, SB 1765/HB 1956, aimed to approve the collaboration of the Department of Finance and Administration, the Department of Health and TennCare to apply for federal approval to import prescription drugs from Canada.
