Slang Term – What Does 420 Really Mean
420 or April 20th is considered the “National Stoner” holiday or the universal time and day to get high on marijuana or drugs. For some cannabis users, this day is circled on the calendar which means that we (in prevention, education and enforcement) also need to pay attention to that day.
Smoke shops and dispensaries often run specials on and around the date and number “420”.
The code “420” may be seen on t-shirts, clothing (eg hats), jewelry, graffiti, event signs, and other paraphernalia.
