4-Methoxyphencyclidine (abbreviated 4-MeO-PCP) is a synthetic dissociative of the arylcyclohexylamine class which produces hallucinogenic and anesthetic effects, and has been sold online as a research chemical. The synthesis of 4-MeO-PCP was first reported in 1965 by the Parke-Davis medicinal chemist Victor Maddox.
4-MeO-PCP is a synthetic dissociative psychedelic considered similar in activity to PCP and ketamine.
